French Reading: L'Elfe Magique
This is a 1 1/2 page story written in the past tense about a magic elf named Merlin, who ends up on earth by accident. He sees a lot of things after he accidentally falls out of Santa's bag of toys. One day a young girl sees him on the ground and picks him up and her curiosity for the small elf leads her to unexpected things. This is a great story to use during the Christmas season to help reinforce the structures: a vu, ne pouvait pas, portait, a souhaité, and pourrait.
